Benton County Jail

Jail visitation is by appointment only on visiting days. To make an appointment to visit an inmate, please call 320-968-8180 during normal business hours (Monday through Friday 8 am to 4 pm). Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance of your visit. 

• To visit an inmate at Benton County Jail, visitors must be on the approved visitor list, which requires the inmate to complete a request including the visitor’s full name, date of birth, address, and telephone number. The request should be submitted at least 24 hours prior to the visit.
• Visitors are expected to adhere to a dress code. Attire should be appropriate and modest, with no cut-off shorts, tube tops, half shirts, see-through clothing, mesh shirts, or tops that do not cover the shoulders. Shorts must reach mid-thigh, and all clothing should be loose-fitting. Footwear is mandatory.
• Each visitor aged 18 and above must present a government-issued ID that includes their full name and date of birth. Visits are limited to 20 minutes per person. It is important to note that no visits are allowed within the last 15 minutes of the designated visiting time.
• Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian. The legal parent or guardian must provide a birth certificate for the minor, which should list either the person visiting or the inmate’s name on the certificate. The individual over 18 must also be listed on the inmate’s visitor’s list.

Visiting Hours:

Tuesdays: 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Thursdays: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Saturdays: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The Benton County Jail reserves the right to refuse or terminate any visit that may pose a threat to the safety, security, or good order of the facility.
